Two men... you know the
mission... good food at a good price!
Fritzl's may be somewhat pricey for the average
teenager's budget, but the cost is well worth it. A true
dining experience for a guy out to impress his date.
Mr. Davis and I both agree that the
Bavarian Grill does not hold a candle to Fritzl's.
With the traditional German music playing you can
imagine that you are in Austria ordering lunch or
dinner.
The owner, Klaus, will greet you with a warm smile, and
sit you right down at a table. Outdoor seating is
available on the covered patio (great for a beautiful
day).
The food is rich and delicious. If you have never
had traditional German/Austrian food you are in for a
real treat.
Mr. Davis decided to try the signature dish of the
house, Jaeger Schnitzel. This dish is Cognac
flambéed fillets of pork Loin in a mushroom, onion, and
garlic sauce served with Austrian roasted potatoes, and
read cabbage ($12.95).
He could not describe how good the food tasted. In
other words, he did not stop eating long enough to talk.
I wanted to try "real" goulash, not the hamburger
substitute that my dear mother has served for countless
years.
I had Hugarian Goulash and Bratwurst dinner. This
was a heaping portion of Hugarian paprika beef stew, a
grilled bratwurst, sauerkraut, Austrian roasted
potatoes, and toast ($12.95)
I was tempted to tell my mother that she should not
slander the good name of goulash with that concoction
that she has made for years. But upon further
reflection, decided against that!
Klaus' menu also includes great pasta and sandwiches.
Fritzl's is only open for dinner (5:00 - 9:00) Tuesday through
Saturday. They are closed Sunday and Monday.
They offer great desserts all home made by Klaus
himself. If should need, they cater as well.
Take out is available so call ahead. If you are

If the only German food you have ever had is a
bratwurst, you must sample the food that Fritzl's has to
offer. It will open your eyes and taste bus to a
wonderful culture and will be a great dining experience.
